I have a question...you talked about when we feel the energy is stuck or stagnant we can use the symbol. What exactly would that feel like? I have experienced in some sessions that I feel the stuckness or emotions being help back but I feel it in my body not so much my hands. I have even experienced feeling the sadness and starting to tear up....is this ok? or is there something I should be doing differently? And I am assuming that would be an appropriate time to use the symbol?
Hi Lynsey! Great question. Okay, so yes,if you start to feel it in your BODY, that's a great time to visualize the symbol and what you described feels like an empathic response. To maximize your session with the client, I would recommend doing a few minutes of Reiki on yourself before you start (this is for anyone who tends to be empathic) with the intent to set clear boundaries and parameters for feeling their emotions so you don't get overloaded. You can say something like "I intend to experience the emotions that are calling to be healed for the exact right time" . does that make sense?
Hello ( : I'm wondering if it matters which hand I use to draw the symbols? I am left handed and I feel drawn to use my left hand. Is this fine? Also when doing the symbols for myself, do I do them in front of me the same way I would over a clients body or do I do the mirror image (finding that hard). Also, since I haven't taken level I with you, I'm wondering what you meant when talking about doing a session and making sure you touch on 'all the major points,' what are these and is there somewhere i can find this info? And, are you laying your hands on the client? If so, are the hands flat or are they slightly cupped with fingers together like you show in the mudras, or are you putting hands above the clients body rather than laying them on? Thank you! Tara
